Many people don't realise, but over time as you use your internet browser, harddrive and install & un-install programs, your computer will steadily lose performance. If you are experiencing performance issues with KennelMaster (particularly during very busy periods) and your computer meets the recommended system specifications, then it may be time to spend a few hours giving your computer some much need TLC. On our 'Performance' page are some simple tips that could significantly improve the speed of your computer, and should be performed regularly to keep it in tip-top condition!

Your Client, Animal and Booking data are highly valueable in terms of the time and potential revenue lost should you lose them. In order to make sure that your data is safe and cannot be lost in the case of a system or software problem, you are strongly recommended to follow these steps:

1) Make sure that 'AutoBackup' stays configured so that every time you close KennelMaster the backup file is updated

2) Every evening, take a copy of the backup file and add it to a dated archive on a seperate media such as a memory stick, external harddrive or different computer on your network. You can find the 'KennelMasterBackupFile.bak' backup file in the main application folder which is C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\Copper Software\KennelMaster\ by default. Keeping an archive of recent backups means that should the current backup file itself become corrupted, you are always able to use one from the previous day and minimise the disruption caused.

You can read more about data security and backups in Section 13 of the User Manual. Please remember that Copper Software cannot be held responsible for any loss of data or related disruption to your business.

If you ever have problems when using KennelMaster Dog Kennel Software, meaning you are stuck with a blank panel and cannot navigate back to the Main Screen, then go to the File Menu and choose the 'Return to Main Screen' option!
